This 17th century portrait features a French spy called Louise, who visited England with a mission to eavesdrop on King Charles II and later became his favourite mistress, oooh-er!
Features a defaced artwork with a pink block over the eyes and either a charcoal or "dirty-white" illusion frame. Yep, the beautiful frame you see is not as it appears as we actually print it onto the same canvas as the artwork which creates a convincing optical illusion.
This artwork is produced using a Giclée fine art printing process using high quality tight-weave 400gsm cotton canvas. This is then stretched over a wooden frame milled from European kiln dried knotless pine. Everything is assembled and finished by hand to the very highest standard.
This frame is 1.5" (38mm) thick with the illusion frame effect continuing and wrapped onto the sides of the piece.
