This portrait was painted in about 1763 and used to prominently feature Mrs. Benjamin Pickman (or Mary to her friends). Us crazy folk at Prince & Rebel have doused her painting in a beautiful shade of blue and got a little messy in the process. With P&R - never! This 17th century piece features a lovely lady called Diana Kirke posing for her portrait in a yellow gown and seemingly very confident stance. So racy is this artwork that is was recently banned from featuring in an ad on the London underground. Us tits at P&R have added the slogan "Too much of a good thing" in a neat-ish but hand painted style green serif font with complementary hand painted highlights on the frame. That's right, the beautiful charcoal illusion frame with highlights are printed onto the same canvas as the artwork, creating a this lovely effect.
