We *think* this is probably an 18th century portrait of a lovely lady called Elizabeth Aislabie - although her identity is not confirmed. She looks a little blue :(
We have defaced the original artwork with a blue spray paint effect right over the portrait and continued this on to our fab blue printed illusion frame.
Yep, the beautiful frame you see is not as it appears, it is actually printed onto the same canvas as the artwork which creates a convincing optical illusion.
This artwork is produced using a Giclée fine art printing process using high quality tight-weave 400gsm cotton canvas. This is then stretched over a wooden frame milled from European kiln dried knotless pine. Everything is assembled and finished by hand to the very highest standard.
This frame is 1.5" (38mm) thick with the blue spray-paint and frame printing effects continuing and wrapped onto the sides of the piece.
