This forest scene on the edge of a pond shows a man and a woman on horseback hunting with their servants. Originally painted in the 17th century by Jan Hackaert it has been hacked to pieces by us good-for-nothings at P&R with the addition of some brightly and roughly painted "TV colour-bars" over the original cracked-artwork.
The lovely frame you see is not what it appears - we print it onto the same canvas as the artwork which creates a convincing optical illusion.
This artwork is produced using a Giclée fine art printing process using high quality tight-weave 400gsm cotton canvas. This is then stretched over a wooden frame milled from European kiln dried knotless pine. Everything is assembled and finished by hand to the very highest standard.
This frame is 1.5" (38mm) thick with the TV colour bars and gold-like effect frame continuing and wrapped onto the sides of the piece.
ARTWORK EDITION & SIZE
This print is only available in size 24x32" (60x80cm) and has a limited run of only 50 with its edition number printed in the bottom right of the canvas.
