Whilst we know these fine paintings were originally made in 1632, the man and woman identity's are unknown and the artwork is thought to have been commissioned to celebrate their wedding. They are both fine looking people, not that you can tell as we bastards at P&R have completely defaced these old artworks with some rough white paint.
All this vandalism is complimented with beautiful murky-brown frames that are actually printed onto the same canvas as the artworks, creating a convincing optical illusion.
These artworks are produced using a Giclée fine art printing process using high quality tight-weave 400gsm cotton canvas. These are then stretched over wooden frames milled from European kiln dried knotless pine. Everything is assembled and finished by hand to the very highest standard.
The frames are 1.5" (38mm) thick with the murky-brown frame printing effect continuing and wrapped onto the sides of the pieces.
